Crystal Palace Running The Rule Over Versatile Nigeria Midfielder Sobowale
Published: January 30, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Crystal Palace have handed a trial to promising Nigerian midfielder Oluwatunmise Sobowale with a view to offering him a contract.
The 19-year-old has been training with the U23 team of The Eagles and was named in the starting line-up in yesterday's 3-1 loss against Charlton Athletic in the Professional Development League.
Sobowale has been described as a very versatile player who has played first team football as a right back, midfielder and forward.
He had previously spent time playing at League of Ireland Premier Division side Waterford, the U19 side of Hércules CF in Spain as well as Finn Harps, for whom he scored on his debut against Longford Town.
Oluwatunmise's younger brother Timi Sobowale completed a transfer to Manchester City in the summer of 2018, snubbing a switch to Tottenham Hotspur who had been interested in his services.
Joseph Hungbo and Joshua Ajayi have played for Crystal Palace youth teams this season.
